Tasty Tidbits
Why a music festival?
Lake Harriet United Methodist Church (LHUMC), located near 50th and France in Minneapolis, is a church filled with an appreciation for the arts—many of our members are musicians, writers, actors and artists. In fact, our lead pastor is in three bands himself! LHUMC is also dedicated to outreach in our neighborhood as well as the rest of the Twin Cities and worldwide. The Hot Dish Music Festival, while not necessarily a “religious” event, is a great opportunity to blend our love of all things creative with our call to reach out to the world.
Why “Hot Dish”?
A “hot dish”, which is Minnesota-speak for “casserole” is a perfect blend of all things good, just like the music we’ll have on July 13 —
a delicious mix of music styles & sounds.
What if it rains on July 13?
We will go on with the show! All musical groups will perform inside the church and there will be LHUMC ambassadors to show you the way to performances.
